Closer up

My new camera arrived and by the time I got the battery charged up, went out and bought the kind of memory card it had to have, and got it figured out, the sun was going down. All the same, I went out to take some pictures and ran into Amber Hunter. I happen to know Amber because I did a story about her once. She has aplastic anemia, and the last time I saw her, her face was moon-shaped from being on prednisone, and she was one sick little girl. So it was a happy occasion to see that she was doing so well. She was at the apartment complex visiting her grandmother (and walking her grandmother's dog), so she got to be the first person to be taken a photo of with my new camera. This picture is actually so many pixels could be blown up to poster size, but if I did that I couldn't get it on the blog.Anyway, I am enjoying my new toy.

Comments:
Glad to hear Amber is better! Precious picture!

a great first picture!! you know i still use an advantix.:):)

Digital cameras are way easier to use than film cameras. It's the same point and click, but you don't have to load film or rewind, and you can take whole bunches and just pick out the best one to develop. I will admit though that nothing quite replaces picking up a package of developed photos and seeing them for the first time, and finding some good ones in the bunch. Also I really miss having the option of black and white pictures.

i'm slightly dyslexic plus i have absolutely no depth vision so i need to have the camera next to my face not wobbling try to get people in the frame. i was awful at sports, but did extremely well in my photography class because my real world actually looks like a photograph.:):) my husband has really gotten into his digital photgraphy since he retired and is even becoming more computer literate so he can scan and print his own pic.
