Me and My Health Rider

I found one of these exact machines (a Health Rider) for $30 at the St. Christopher's yard sale and bought it.
I, of course, do not have the black outfit, but have just tried it in my orange knit Lane Bryant nightgown. Once I figured out how to sit down on it and get my feet on the pedals without falling over, it turned out to be sort of like a piece of playground equipment. You can go at it very very slowly, which is what I am doing to start with. My goal is not, by the way, to look like the chick in the picture, but to do something healthful.
It gets boring after about 45 seconds, and I need to stick with it for a half hour a day. Has anybody got any ideas about how to entertain oneself while doing something healthful but essentially boring?

Comments:
This does look a lot like ours. You probably noted we have it in front of a television set.
I like to use it in the morning (a couple of times a week), it is good for stretching!!
Rick uses it every night (at least 50 sets)

I probably should have signed above queenofsheba...all this is making me dizzy, no spring!
I can just hear Rick comment on that!!
What should I do????

I sort of like moongirl I'm thinkig of changing my blogname to something like Alpha Centauri or Ursa Major.

you could at twinkies and snickers???:):) just kidding!

i got so excited about snacking on the health rider i typed at rather than eat.:)

I wonder if those ab lounger things you see advertised on tv are tough to use.
Gosh, I wish I could get rid of my excess tummy.
Anyhow, it looks like you just stretch out on the lounger, then bring it back to an upright position. Wonder how hard that would be. (You can see how enthusiastic I am about moving body parts more than necessary!)
Anyhow, I bet you could snack easier on it than on the rider.

i CANNOT operate heavy machinery.:):)
