Here's what's a joy -- a big snow on a weekend, when you don't have to drive anywhere. Snow makes the world look pretty and muffles sound. Hot cocoa tastes better. You can make snowmen (and not those southern dirty snowmen with gravel and sticks and dead grass sticking out of them). If you live where it snows, you know how to drive in it and when NOT to drive in it. It gets really old if it stays cold and the snow hangs around too long and gets piled up and dirty, but otherwise, a Sunday with a big snow is a lovely thing.
