Did somebody say chicken?

Comments:
Apparently, there is a group pushing to have the Col.'s bust removed from the state Capitol in Kentucky.
What do you guys think about that?

I think they ought to replace it with an equestrian statue of him holding a bottle of bourbon in one hand and a bucket of chicken in the other.
We now wait to hear from the Kentucky contingent.
sPorcupine once met the Colonel if I remember correctly. Story time!

you have to admire somone who can sell seven herbs and spices for a gazillion dollars. i like his chicken too. of course i like everyone's fried chicken.:)

As a Kentuckian, I am grateful to the Colonel when I am abroad because people all over the world have heard about Kentucky. Take that, Tennessee! (or Georgia ...)

I was just on a plane with him. The best part was realizing that the stewardess was delivering fried chicken (bad bad fried chicken) to the man in first class.

On the issue of the statue. it ain't gonna happen. They can eat lettuce in California if they want, but we're keeping our chicken and the Colonel to match. You heard it here.

sPorcupine -- That reminds me of the time that the Juilliard String Quartet performed at Upsala and afterward we went out to eat at an Italian restaurant with this big group including the String Quartet, and here came the restaurant's violinist from table to table, fiddling away. The happy ending is that somebody told him who was in his audience and they were all very charming and complimentary to him.
